From 5 June to 24 August 2025
The exhibition pays tribute to Giordano Garuti, one of the protagonists of contemporary art in Cremona, through a selection of works that tell of an intense, visionary, and free art.
Painter, restorer, and tireless traveler, Garuti has crossed distant places and cultures, bringing traces of experiences lived between Europe, Africa, and South America into his painting. His art arises from gesture, emotion, and memory, ranging between abstract and surreal, guided by the unconscious.
His instinctive and refined painting, with a style in constant evolution, reflects a powerful vital energy and a technical mastery refined over decades of work. In his canvases, the rigor of the stroke and the freedom of thought coexist, along with the heritage of tradition and the instinct of travel. Garuti paints like a modern shaman: his brush moves on its own, guided by an inner vision that transforms the gesture into a narrative.
