The Diocesan Museum of Caserta was built near the church of the SS.mo Redentore. Located in the heart of Caserta not far from the Cathedral, the Bishop's Palace and the Vanvitellian Palace. The Diocesan Museum of Caserta documents the artistic and religious tradition of Caserta. The Diocesan Museum of Caserta contains some of the best artistic works that have been enriched and expanded over time. The objects on display are mainly sacred, liturgical furnishings, paintings, ex-votos and sculptures from the various churches of the diocese. Currently the Diocesan Museum has about two hundred works including paintings, sculptures, liturgical apparatus, reliquaries and ex voto. The oldest pieces are sculptural materials ranging from the 11th to the 12th century and from the 14th to the 19th century.
