From 20 October to 12 March 2023
Roberto Ferri is on display at Palazzo Pallavicini, in Bologna, from 20 October 2022 until 12 March 2023.
The Roberto Ferri exhibition in Bologna promises fascinating Baroque suggestions and will enchant visitors in the halls of Palazzo Pallavicini where the artist's masterpieces can be admired, the greatest exponent of a refined art directly inspired by the works of Caravaggio .
The Roberto Ferri exhibition at Palazzo Pallavicini offers an anthological journey between the sacred and the profane, highlighting the tireless and meticulous work of the master from Taranto, who since his inception has tried to stop the inexorable progress of time through the pictorial act. Able to transpose punctual references to the great art of the past into canvases and to modify its deepest nature with a visionary and dreamlike feeling, Ferri marries extreme realism with pure symbolism , generating enchantment for the soul and for the gaze. Among the paintings on display, splendid allegories of human impulses and sacred transpositions of the tensions of the spirit appear: once again Ferri , through the sensuality and plasticity of the body, highlights the deepest truths of the human soul and its continuous and uninterrupted search for meaning .
Wonder is released from large-scale works such as " Broken delights ", an elaborate staging of an inner conflict, or " Love, death and the dream " a personified investigation of the extremes that hold the strings of life. Roberto Ferri 's intense relationship with graphics is well represented by the drawings on display, characterized by an exquisite formal structure imbued with delicate lyricism. Between the shadows and the silence, the figures seem to re-propose a silent and cadenced dialogue, whose internal beat seems to re-propose the most ancient vital rhythm of man: the cornerstone of Roberto Ferri's research turns out to be life, in all its infinite and more mysterious nuances.
Roberto Ferri is sponsored by the Emilia-Romagna Region, is curated by Francesca Bogliolo and produced and organized by Pallavicini Srl by Chiara Campagnoli, Deborah Petroni and Rubens Fogacci with the contribution of Franco Senesi's Liquid art system. Sixty unique works - forty oils on canvas and twenty drawings - representative of the visual poetics of the artist Roberto Ferri, find space in the prestigious rooms of Palazzo Pallavicini, open to the public on rare occasions.
