The funerary urn is decorated on the entire surface with a banquet scene. In the character represented from behind, one might perhaps recognize the deceased, to whom a diner and a servant address a superstitious gesture of warding off evil: it may be a reference to the banquet celebrated by the deceased's family on the ninth day following the burial, at the conclusion of the mourning period.
