Description

Sword folded from Pila del Brancon, found together with several other metal objects such as spearheads, daggers and twisted laminar elements referable to the final Bronze Age.

Detail of a sword from the site of Pila del Brancon, a short distance from the necropolis of Olmo di Nogara. Among the metal objects found within the site are folded swords, spearheads, daggers and twisted laminar elements. The remarkable state of conservation of the finds is due to the particular place of discovery, mainly peaty, near the Tartaro river. The materials can be referred to an early phase of the final Bronze Age.
