Found in the church of Santa Maria in Momentana, on the layer of plaster below the Madonna del Parto, the fresco by an unknown local artist portrays a votive image of the Virgin lactans, whose cult was used to obtain lasting and abundant milk.
The Virgin can be recognized in the act of breastfeeding the Child and a male figure, probably the client of the fresco, in the act of paying homage to the Madonna.
