The "Segantini and Arco" project, born as part of the close collaboration between the MAG Alto Garda Museum and the Mart - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, brings together a museum exhibition at the G. Segantini Civic Gallery and a program of research. Both enhance the city of Arco as a place dedicated to Segantini and develop a network of studies and relationships with institutions and Segantini experts around the world.

The relationship between Giovanni Segantini and Arco - the town in Trentino where the artist was born in 1858 - is complex, deep and not yet fully described. This small town with one foot in Central Europe and the other in the Mediterranean is today one of the places where the debate on divisionism, symbolism and the search for modernity between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries still takes place.
