Located on the site of the ancient Toussaint Abbey, the Galerie David D'Angers is a museum in the city of Angers dedicated to the work of sculptor David D'Angers. The collection consists mainly of models and original intaglio prints of the works, important preparatory steps for the final result. The works of David D'Angers today are scattered in different parts of the world, mainly in Europe and the United States. The museum's collection consists of statues, busts and medallions. Inside the collection there are the preparatory works for the construction of the pediment of the Pantheon in Paris. The mezzanine houses the smaller works, drawings, busts of literary characters, politicians or friends of David, as well as a hundred medallions.
