Goya Museum Ibercaja Collection Camón Aznar Museum

The Goya Colección Ibercaja Museum Camón Aznar Museum opened on November 30, 1979. It is located in the so-called "Palacio de los Pardo". It initially collected the art collections of the Aragonese professor and academic José Camón Aznar and his wife María Luisa Alvarez Pinillos but became the Goya Museum on February 26, 2015. It houses 500 works, 39 new additions. The museum also houses the complete collections of Goya's engravings. The museum has enriched its collection with numerous additions, 28 of which come from the Ibercaja Collection and 11 from the Real Sociedad Económica Aragonesa de Amigos del País. Among the new pieces are a drawing by Goya, some works by Francisco Bayeu and works by Aragonese artists such as José Luzán, Mariano Barbasán, Marcelino de Unceta, Francisco Pradilla, Pablo Gargallo and the Pórtico and El Paso groups. Goya remembers the series "Los Caprichos" (The whims), "Los Desastres de la Guerra" (The desastre della guerra), "La Tauromaquia" and "Los Disparates" (I'assurdità), "Portrait of Queen Maria Luisa di Parma "," Self-portrait "and" The Adoration of the Name of God by the Angels ". The museum also annually organizes temporary exhibitions around the figure of the artist.
