The exhibition The Universes of Leonardo da Vinci at the Leo Lev Exhibition Center. The exhibition tells the story of Leonardo da Vinci's Academy. We are taken into Leonardo's workshop in Milan and France according to the indications and various attributions of international scholars such as Carlo Pedretti. For the first time, faithful reproductions of paintings that are part of private collections are exhibited, which are fundamental for reconstructing, also through all the preparatory apparatus of the drawings, the work and the Leonardo's painting invention.
The boundaries and lines of the Master's and the student's hand often blend in a sublime and fascinating way. With epiphanies of details along with strokes of the Master's great masterpieces, the exhibition leaves to the curiosity and attention of the visitor the game or the deepening of the subjects, historical, artistic, and symbolic elements of the Master's signature and presence.
The exhibition represents the first event with which the importance of Leonardo's workshop is brought back to the attention of the general public, where new painting techniques were experimented and applied, which still constitute today the most important legacy of Leonardo's genius. It is a preparatory path for the arrival in Vinci of the originals of the Leonardo school, from the most important international private collections.
The permanent exhibition, The Universes of Leonardo, has been enriched with a work, the "experimental panel" of the Battle of Anghiari, at the center of a new discussion among art historians and major Leonardo experts.
