The Coppola Foundation presents its next exhibition activity: the exhibition of the young emerging artist Nana Wolke (Ljubljana, 1994). The exhibition will open to the public from 30 September 2021 to 4 January 2022.
Articulated on the sixth floor of the Torrione, from where one of the most fascinating views of Vicenza can be seen, the exhibition reflects on the themes of distance, sex, friendship and illegibility. When Wolke turns 27, a year that promises to be both a beginning and a glorified end to everything, the artist revisits both personal and fantasy short scenes, but above all glimpses that can no longer be identified as the one or the other, lost in the seduction of the cultural image and the unreliability of one's memory. In an obstinate attempt to recognize this fragmentary reality, the starting point of each work is the photographic re-enactment of scenes focused on light and point of view, allowing a dance, or sometimes a stumbling block at best, between the narratives. .
