Ugo and Olga Levi Foundation for musical studies non-profit organizationè was established in 1962 by an act of donation of Ugo Levi, in homage to the willà wife Olga Brunner and in memory of the shared passion for music studies. The Statutes defines the following purposesà ;: the destination of Palazzo Giustiniani Lolin in Venice as a seat of learning and high-level musical events the presence of a library for historical studies of music of all countries, of all times, in all shapes and trends; l’ organization of exercises cycles, concerts, lectures, debates and, in general, private or public musical events in the più high expressions, particularly with regard all’ interpretation and to the composition. The Levi Foundation deals with musicological and ethnomusicological research in Veneto, national and European, even with the cataloging and study of musical funds. His più that fifty years experience has led to prefer the creation of research groups of international scope on a specific theme, head of scholars subgroups.
