The Archaeological Museum of Velletri, headquartered in sixteenth-century town hall of the city. The museum exhibited extraordinarily important findings, like the monumental sarcophagus of the labors of Hercules. It is one of the most significant works of Roman art, an exceptional archaeological unique historical and artistic value, in whose decoration is of particular importance to the myth of Hercules. Today the Archeological Museum of Velletri proposed a new set of rich museological collection, in a fascinating journey on two floors. It is also enhanced by a specialized library, a restoration workshop and a conference room. The exhibits range from the record period to the medieval follow a chronological and thematic criteria, aimed at the reconstruction of the historical background of the area.
