A playful and immersive journey into contemporary art, a voyage through transforming spaces, traversable volumes, transparencies, and reflections that challenge the boundaries between interior and exterior, reality and perception. This is the experience offered by Transparent Architectures, an exhibition presented today to the press representatives and coming to life from June 8 to October 26, 2025, in the monumental spaces of Villa Manin in Codroipo (Udine).

The project stems from a reflection on the concept of boundaries, not intended as barriers, but as crossable thresholds, physical and mental passages, stimuli for new ways of exploring space. Some installations alter the perception of environments, others construct light architectures to be crossed, while outdoor works blur the boundary between enclosed and open space. The materials used - glass, mirrors, colored threads, fabrics, light, sound - invite sensory experiences that go beyond the traditional idea of architecture as a fixed, closed, opaque space.

Curated by the Erpac service director Guido Comis and Linda Carello with Daniele Capra, and organized by the Regional Authority for Cultural Heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Erpac), the exhibition is part of the "GO! 2025&Friends" program, a series of events linked to "GO! 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia European Capital of Culture," involving the entire region. The sixteen selected installations are arranged in a path that starts from the east barn, continues inside the noble body, and extends into the historic park of the villa, where the works interact dynamically with the baroque architecture and the landscape.

Among the protagonists of the exhibition stand out historical figures of contemporary art such as Robert Irwin and Giulio Paolini, internationally renowned artists like Jeppe Hein, Pae White, Petra Blaisse (Inside Outside), and Gabriel Dawe, along with emerging and significant presences in the Italian scene such as Matteo Negri and Anna Pontel. Some installations - like the sound installation by Christina Kubisch - also introduce an auditory dimension into space, further expanding public engagement.
