The restructuring of the Bailo Museum, finally returned in its entirety to the Community, is the ideal occasion to celebrate Dante's eighteenth-century anniversary with an important exhibition dedicated to the Supreme Poet. As part of the various initiatives on the subject, carried out since last spring, the Administration wanted to promote the original "Treviso Journey Dantesco" review, produced by the Civic Museums and the Treviso Library, with the participation of the Oderzo Cultura Foundation. . The collaboration with Oderzo was born with a view to consolidating and significantly encouraging the desired cultural promotion in the extra-municipal territory. In Treviso, the exhibition is developed in three sections of the Bailo Museum, intended to accompany us on the exciting physical and spiritual itinerary in the three fantasized worlds of Alighieri. The "journey" between the twentieth century and the contemporary is declined through the authoritative voices of Alberto Martini, Tono Zancanaro, Romano Abate and Gō Nagai, the famous Japanese manga author and illustrator, for the first time in Italy with his images dedicated to the Divine Comedy. The “journey” then continues with a selection of Dante's wonders of the city's artistic and book heritage, also illustrated in a captivating and evocative journey.
It is a pleasure as the Municipality of Oderzo and the Oderzo Cultura Foundation, in the year dedicated to the celebrations of the Supreme Poet, to participate, together with the Municipality of Treviso, in the exhibition “Treviso Viaggio Dantesco” hosting a section at the Alberto Martini Pinacoteca. Fondazione Oderzo Cultura, manager of the cultural center of Opitergine, has since 2008 been committed to acquiring, restoring and promoting the remarkable corpus, which today has 297 works, permanently exhibited in rotation at the homonymous art gallery. On the occasion of the exhibition, which sees the important collaboration in the Oderzo Cultura project with the loan of a conspicuous selection of the artist's works, the important path of sharing and enhancing the cultural heritage of the territory desired and always consolidated is increasingly consolidated. supported by the entity I represent. If in Treviso the “visual transcription” of the poem by Martini can be compared with that of other important interpreters of the twentieth century, in Oderzo the permanent path of Dante will be reread also in the light of a selection of new works from the deposits of the Pinacoteca. An interesting cultural journey that aims to enhance the common artistic heritage of the territory through the extraordinary interpretation of the Divine Comedy by Alberto Martini, author of great relevance and renewed discovery.
