The CRT Art Foundation in Turin, founded in 2000 by the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio di Torino, aims to enrich and enhance the cultural and artistic heritage of Turin and Piedmont. Through the synergy of many different realities, the foundation carries out training, experiences visiting and support activities to the art of Turin and Piedmont contemporary system. For about a decade since the birth, the Foundation for its activities and resources almost exclusively to the purchase of works, loaned to GAM - Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Turin, and Castello di Rivoli. This has offered two museums the opportunity to create a large collection, completing existing ones. It has thus led the city of Turin to communicate and compete with major Italian and foreign institutions in the sector. Currently the collection has more than 870 works by over 300 artists active in the last 70 years in Italy and abroad and has an important collection of historical works from the Arte Povera movement.
