Iconoplast makes its debut at the CAOS Museum - Centro Arti Opificio Siri : the third exhibition of the already famous art exhibition Inside the CAOS. Iconoplast is a transdisciplinary project by the artists Sara Bonaventura and Elisa Muliere , with the participation of Madelon Vriesendorp , Dutch artist and co-founder of the OMA studio, curated by Adiacenze and Anna Rosellini , in partnership with Le Macchine Celibi soc. coop .

The exhibition, open until April 24 , was preceded by a period of residence at the CAOS , during which the artists were able to implement fruitful collaborations with some companies in the area - Bazzica, Enycs, Faroplast, Lucy Plast, Beaulieu Fibres International Terni -, with HackLab and La Romita School of Art of Terni for the production of the works and the exhibition floor.

The field residency of the artists and direct contact with companies have allowed to put contemporary art, territory and local businesses in dialogue, laying the foundations for an enriching exchange network and mutual stimulation both for artistic research and for local actors. involved in the process.

Iconoplast is the story of a world and another time, a speculation on the future of the most iconic material of our time: plastic . The artists enter the imagination of a post-human scenario in which the contamination and the mixing of organic and artificial are the generative principles of a new species that is composed and feeds on plastic waste, no longer inert material, object of scene of human activity, but creative presupposition of new life.

Inside the Ronchini Room, video dematerializations, sculptural elements and assemblies made with recycled plastics, domestic or industrial waste make up a sensual, changing and pulsating environment, in full vital ferment. An ancestral and futuristic habitat at the same time that invites immersion, empathic participation. Under its playful appearance, this microcosm hides a dramatic destiny for man, but at the same time proves to be fertile ground for other new, unexpected species that proliferate in a continuous celebration of life.
