Today the "Rossetti Valentini School of Fine Arts" is a mark of distinction for the "Valley of the Painters", while it was once a practical means of subsistence. In fact, it allowed the young people of the valley to learn drawing and painting sufficiently to earn a living beyond the borders. In the past centuries there were more than one paid painting schools in the Valley and numerous young people from Vigezzo who, after attending them, emigrated as portrait painters: they went mainly to France, determined to make a fortune to ensure a peaceful old age in their homeland.
the school is currently closed for structural expansion but remains active in the area with activities, exhibitions, events and educational courses
