Mompesson House is an 18th century house located in Salisbury. The house, classified as historic, has been owned by the National Trust since 1975. The building, built for Sir Thomas Mompesson, a prominent political figure in the city, was purchased in the late 17th century and reflects the Queen Anne style of that period with Chilmark stone cladding. Mompesson House today is a house museum displaying the Turnbull collection of 18th century English glasses bequeathed to the Trust in 1970. It also houses the Bessemer-Wright pottery collection, bequeathed by Mrs. Adam Smith.
