Numero Cromatico is an artistic collective born in 2011, made up of researchers from the world of visual arts and neuroscience, which bases its research on an interdisciplinary approach. The group turns its gaze to the most advanced studies in the field of aesthetic perception, with particular attention to neuroesthetics.

The group's practices are developed along three different lines: artistic, scientific and editorial production.
The collective is also the editor of Nodes , a neuroaesthetic journal, a point of reference for researchers from all over the world.

Since 2016 the group has opened an independent experimental space in Rome where it still presents its research to the public.

In 2019, Numero Cromatico at ArtVerona carries out the first experiment in neuroesthetics in an art fair in Italy, winning the i10 award as the best independent reality. In the same year he won the special mention of the Creature award.
In 2020 he won the DGCC MiBACT Exhibit Program call and the Artribune award for best hybrid space in Italy. In 2021 he was selected for a grant by the Brain Awareness Week promoted by FENS and Dana Foundation , and won: Re: humanism Art Prize ; the Inhabitant call promoted by the CNPD Virgilio Sieni ; Sala Santa Rita Contemporanea promoted by Palazzo delle Esposizioni and the Italian Council (X edition) promoted by the General Direction for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture.
