Museo Benedetto Robazza
The Museum Benedict Robazza of Rocca Priora, site&Outdoors; inside the Cultural Center Monsignor F. Giacci, born in’ April 2018 to accommodate the large donation that’ namesake artist to whom the museum itselfè dedicated, had made that year.The permanent collection revolves all around the grand work represented by L’ Dante's Inferno, a long frieze of eighteen 2x2,5mt panels in marble dust resin which, placed in the courtyard outside, from left to right represent all XXXIV Cantos of’ Inferno of Dante's Divine Comedy. It is a majestic work of 1995 presented for the first time by Vittorio Sgarbi in Florence at the Hall of the Palazzo degli Innocenti Brunelleschi, then exposed to Rome along Ponte Sisto in 2010 and then left for China in 2011, whereè was on display at the’ Art Center in Wenzhou for three long years in a d&rsquo negotiations; purchase by the Chinese state, never ended. In 2013, the’ work has found place in the courtyard of Santa Croce in Florence, and in 2015 at the gardens of the Villa Comunale of Sorrento. From 2018è It housed in the Museum Rocca Priorese, together with its preparatory sketch in plaster and his studies in charcoal and oil.
