The show

A new path of investigation between scientific research, human sciences and creative knowledge.

In the world of construction it has materialized for decades in marvelous structural inventions, the result of calculations, measurements, engineering calculations on beams and pillars. In the new millennium a new actor has taken over: technology, applied in a thousand ways, from design to management of buildings and cities. Structure, technology (and care for the environment) will intertwine with less and less clear boundaries in the future.

The exhibition is divided into two sections that are far from separate. On the one hand, a path in construction engineering traditionally understood, with drawings, images, models of the absolute cult of structural engineering, from the Sydney Opera to the masterpieces of Nervi, from the Beaubourg to Lloyds of London. On the other hand, an immersion in digital culture and technology, with “tangible” experiments on the application of robotics, digital manufacturing, artificial intelligence, big data and environmental engineering.
