From 20 December to 15 January 2023
Each historical period brings together the stories, characters and products that have characterized it under a specific theme, favoring the best that has come down to us due to the intrinsic qualities of the project or the company vision. Therefore, not only icons in themselves, but icons of a way of doing and producing that goes beyond time and confirms the goodness of its genesis.
Sixties – The new advancing | 20 – 24 December The development of the modern is confronted with the first substantial changes in society, the adoption of new materials and the introduction of innovative production processes. Aspects that mirror each other giving life to design as we understand it today - the acute point of view of the critic and philosopher Gillo Dorfles - and are supported by enlightened businesswomen and entrepreneurs.
Seventies – Italy conquers the world | 26 December – 1 January While the social ferment becomes radical, the creative and productive force of the Bel Paese begins its journey abroad in the setting of the most prestigious museum in New York and in the world with an exhibition that will remain legendary in the annals. Among inventions of forms and functions, revision of archetypes, contestation of models, the season of the avant-garde opens - from the "radicals" to Memphis - and of utopian landscapes designed with furniture that does not seem like that.
The Eighties – Reality, delirium, wonder, ecstasy and fiction | 3 – 8 January The previous season seems to leave ripe fruits that continue their course in the impact with a differently futuristic vision of tomorrow, under the push of unripe technological innovations, the first dematerializations and the communication, graphics and publishing that live a golden moment.
Nineties – Eclectic languages | 10 – 15 January It is the decade that is preparing to ferry humanity into the next century. Italy becomes a privileged destination for designers who arrive here from all over the world to explore the lively business world of Lombardy and Veneto, in particular, eager for comparisons. Motivated not only by that xenophilic inclination, often marked in national borders, but to prepare for the global polyglot.
