From 28 June to 3 March 2024
Over fifty artists, architects and photographers, from the great masters to the younger generations, to talk about our time and the most current challenges; iconic works that come out of storage and come back to light alongside others that were unpublished and never exhibited; an extraordinary restoration site open to the public: FUORI ALL, the new exhibition of the MAXXI Collection, which showcases the great vitality and experimentation of the contemporary creative scene (from Wednesday 28 June 2023,
curated by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, MAXXI Arte; Architecture section curated by Pippo Ciorra, Laura Felci and Elena Tinacci, Photography section curated by Simona Antonacci, Videogallery curated by Irene de Vico Fallani, Giulia Lopalco, Archive Wall curated by the MAXXI Arte Archive Center).
Conceived and set up as an open repository of the works of the Collection, with a focus on the new acquisitions of the last five years, the exhibition is divided into different spaces of the Museum: Gallery 1, Gallery 3, Videogallery, Archive Wall and the Claudia Gianferrari Room, which hosts a restoration site open to the public.
The project is designed in view of the important appointment with the GRANDE MAXXI, which has among its main objectives the usability of the deposits, the creation of intelligent archives and a center of excellence for the restoration of the contemporary. At the same time, FUORI ALLO reflects MAXXI's constant commitment to composing, enhancing and increasing the national public collection, the soul of the Museum and the heritage of all Italians.
