From 12 June to 24 September 2024
From June 12 to September 8, 2024, the National Roman Museum - Baths of Diocletian hosts the exhibition COLLÒCULI / INTRO-SPECTIO with works by the artist Annalaura di Luggo.
Collòculi is a gigantic sculptural interpretation of the human eye, made of recycled aluminum with an interactive iris inside.
The installation comes to life thanks to technology: the pupil of Collòculi, in fact, transmits interactive multimedia content in real time, through a "gesture recognition" camera system that allows the viewer to become an integral part of the action.
The exhibition also includes a selection of works from the Intro-Spectio cycle created through a dual process of printing and perforating on Dibond and Plexiglas.
These works by Annalaura di Luggo propose a suggestive three-dimensionality, with holes on the photographic surface that appear as a "womb of light": here, irises of men and animals nest, photographed by the artist herself with a special lens.
