CITY RAVIOLI – CULTURE À LA CARTEScattered festival of art, cuisine, and community in the Municipality of Rome V
From October 16 to 31, 2026 | Pigneto · Torpignattara · Centocelle
A program of workshops, performances, meetings, and tastings to discover the neighborhoods through food and the cultures that inhabit them. From October 16 to 31, 2026, CITY RAVIOLI – Culture à la carte arrives in the Municipality of Rome V, the new scattered festival conceived and curated by TWM Factory. Workshops, performances, tastings, talks, exhibitions, screenings, DJ sets, and buffets cross Pigneto, Torpignattara, and Centocelle, engaging contemporary creativity, cuisines, and communities in dialogue. The ravioli is the guiding thread of the festival. A familiar shape, present in different food traditions, becomes the starting point to tell stories, recognize affinities, and discover differences. Food becomes a common language and opens a path through restaurants, shops, artist studios, workshops, bookstores, and cultural spaces, inviting the public to get to know the neighborhoods through those who live and animate them every day.The plurality of cultures in Pigneto, Torpignattara, and Centocelle is reflected in the program, intertwining Chinese ravioli, Kurdish-Mediterranean cuisine, Palestinian stories, and food memories of the territory. In the Municipality of Rome V, according to the demographic data of Rome Capital as of December 31, 2025, 18.3% of the population has foreign citizenship. CITY RAVIOLI starts from these exchanges, recognizing them as part of the cultural identity and daily life of the neighborhoods.

"Every culture has its ravioli, and every ravioli contains a different filling. By following its folds, we rediscover those of the city and the cultures that inhabit it," say Carlo S. Battisti and Nicola Brucoli, curators of the festival.

At a time when many social and aggregation opportunities pass through forms of consumption, CITY RAVIOLI proposes meeting spaces that are as accessible as possible, with events and tastings largely free. The focus is on enhancing East Rome as a territory of contemporary cultural production, telling the food through the people, gestures, and memories that accompany it, beyond the glossy representations of food culture prevalent in the digital world. The program is divided into 13 main events directly curated by TWM Factory, which relate artistic practices, food cultures, and local places. Alongside these events, the OFF Circuit gathers initiatives proposed by a network of local realities, expressing the identity of the territory and its desire to participate. Installations, extraordinary openings, meetings, workshops, and convivial moments enrich the program, bringing the festival to the spaces that enliven the daily life of the neighborhoods. There is no single path. Everyone can build their own menu of experiences and move freely between Pigneto, Torpignattara, and Centocelle, using the festival map, available online and in paper format at the festival venues, to compose, step by step, an itinerary among places, flavors, and cultures.

"Food and conviviality are among the first expressions of affection and preserve family memories. Sharing a dish becomes an opportunity to get to know the other and rediscover something about oneself. In a period where differences often become a reason for distance, we believe that food can unite us," continue the curators.
