From 7 December to 12 November 2023
An original reading of archive documents, systematizing different authors with a particular interpretation: the relationship between architecture and a work of art in their work.
BBPR, Costantino Dardi, Vincenzo Monaco and Amedeo Luccichenti, Luigi Moretti are the protagonists of the exhibition Architecture made ad art, which arises from the desire to enhance and share the precious materials that in recent years have enriched the MAXXI Architettura Collection, in particular the archives of some of the most important Italian architects of the 20th century.
From the restoration and arrangement of the Sforzesco Castle Museums in Milan by BBPR to the architecture that welcomes and integrates with important works of art by Studio Monaco Luccichenti; from the exhibition setups of Costantino Dardi and his work with critics and artists to the love for art of Luigi Moretti, connoisseur, passionate and expert, refined collector and gallery owner, as well as architect.
The exhibition of projects, documents, images and correspondence thus highlights a cultured and interdisciplinary approach to architectural projects, in which the personal dimension intersects with the professional one.
