The Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art and the CRC Foundation present E luce fu, an exhibition that collects four important works focused on light created by Giacomo Balla, Olafur Eliasson, Lucio Fontana and Renato Leotta, belonging to the collections of the Castello di Rivoli Museo d 'Contemporary art. Set up at the Monumental Complex of San Francesco in Cuneo, the exhibition is part of the collaboration project aimed at promoting the knowledge of works by internationally renowned artists presented by the Museum in the Cuneo area.
The exhibition is curated by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and Marcella Beccaria, with the curatorial consultancy of Marianna Vecellio for the project by Renato Leotta.
By proposing an immersive and sensorial journey, the works of the artists on display are installed in relation to the spaces of the Church of San Francesco. In the center of the central nave of the church, visitors meet Feu d'artifice (Fireworks), 1917, a historic work created by Giacomo Balla (Turin, 1871 - Rome, 1958) during the years of adherence to Futurism.
