The exhibition at the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art in Prato "Lara-Vinca Masini. The memory of the future" curated by Stefano Pezzato, focuses on the extensive archive-library of Lara-Vinca Masini , which she established, curated and increased throughout his career. In recent years it has been managed thanks to the support of the CR Firenze Foundation, finally donated and transferred to the Pecci Center to be integrated into the museum collections and into the CID/Visual Arts Information and Documentation Centre , thanks to the support of the Cassa di Risparmio di Prato Foundation.

The exhibition itinerary is organized in a circular form, placing the figure of Masini at the centre, through thematic sections dedicated to his interests and studies, to artistic personalities on which he focused his attention, to various projects and publications which constitute the basis or even the purposes of his research. The objective is to make known and appreciated the intense activity of this anti-academic, critical and rigorous intellectual. Her cultural legacy, intended by her express will for public enjoyment, can be understood as the memory of the future: not only as a source of inspiration and substance for new studies and research but, according to a significant statement by the scholar, "stimulus for the recovery of a creativity nourished by a new lifeblood that finds, even in the past, a sort of foresight of a future that cannot be taken for granted".
