Saturday 29 October the City of Pomezia Museum - Laboratory of the twentieth century inaugurated the exhibition
INURSIONMUSEALIXXI – STEFANO TRAPPOLINI. The Contemporaneity of History in Thought and Action .
The exhibition, which will remain under construction until 31 December 2022, was born from the scientific project curated by the director of the Museum, Claudia Montano, on the occasion of the 3rd birthday of the museum and the 83rd anniversary of the inauguration of the city, with the aim also to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Pier Paolo Pasolini, to whom the Exhibition is dedicating an unpublished large-format pictorial work created for the occasion.
The exhibition will present 19 pictorial works and 6 video installations by Stefano Trappolini, painter and video-artist, prominent personality in the local artistic panorama; 15 will be the unpublished pictorial works, and, among these, 5 were created exclusively for the Exhibition.
Many of the works are made up of several paintings assembled or conceived in series, for a total of 94 elements that will be exhibited in the different areas and sections of the Museum. The immersive installation will involve all the spaces of MCPLab900, with the precise intention of making contemporary works and historical documents dialogue, allowing the Museum itself to become the real subject of the Exhibition.
