The Gori Collection is located on the outskirts of Pistoia in the city of Santomato. The Gori Collection is located inside the Gori family's Fattoria di Celle. The heritage of Giuliano and Pina Gori was born in 1950 and has been enriched over time. Starting in 1970, the collection was transferred to the Fattoria di Celle with the aim of creating a complex program of Environmental Art. The aim of the collection is to enhance the installations in the park of the Fattoria di Celle. In 1982 the Celle park was inaugurated with works created by international artists such as Dani Karavan, Fausto Melotti, Robert Morris, Dennis Oppenheim, Anne and Patrick Poirier, Ulrich Ruckriem, Richard Serra, Mauro Staccioli, George Trakas and Alice Aycock. Inside the historic buildings of the Farm there are the works of Gianni Ruffi, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Giuseppe Penone, Mimmo Paladino, Luciano Fabro, Gilberto Zorio, Aldo Spoldi and Nicola De Maria. The Gori collection is responsible for promoting sculptures and activates interdisciplinary workshops for international artists.
