From November 15, 2024 to May 4, 2025, the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia, in the CAMERA OSCURA space dedicated to photography, set up within the exhibition path of the Perugian museum, hosts for the first time in Umbria the exhibition In short, Robert Doisneau, curated by Alessandra Mauro.

The exhibition presents 30 photographs that tell the entire poetic of the Parisian photographer: among them stands out his most iconic image, the famous Kiss at the Hotel de Ville, published in the American magazine Life in 1950 and immediately became the symbol of an era and a generation.

Robert Doisneau, among the most influential photographers of his time, was able to tell like no one else the Paris of the post-World War II period in a series of images perfect in construction and poetry.
