Robert Doisneau was a French photographer belonging to the so-called humanist photography. In fact, the emotions of the man are at the center of each shot. Doisneau's photography is a photography that takes the subjects by surprise, the shot is almost never prepared but most of the time it is "stolen".
"What I was trying to show was a world where I would feel good, where people would be kind, where I would find the tenderness I hoped to receive. My photos were like proof that this world can exist."
