The Fondation Giacometti is a private institution dedicated to the sculptor Alberto Giacometti located in Paris, in the Montparnasse district, where Giacometti lived and worked during his career. The Fondation Giacometti is the reference point for Giacometti's artistic work. It is a center for research studies and an important exhibition center for shows related to the artist. The headquarters of the Fondation Giacometti is located in the former studio of the artist Paul Follot, a hotel particulier in Art Deco style. The permanent collection of the Foundation is entirely dedicated to Giacometti's work. It is the largest collection of Giacometti, consisting of 95 paintings, 260 bronze sculptures, 550 plaster sculptures, and thousands of drawings. Additionally, there are numerous documents that testify to the artist's creative process: notes, sketches, manuscripts, letters with other artists or intellectuals, and a large part of his private library, including magazines, books, exhibition catalogs, newspapers.
