The Museum of Zoology is located in the historic center of Padua and is part of the University Museums of the University of Padua. The Museum of Zoology has historical collections of considerable value and interest. The oldest finds date back to the period of Antonio Vallisneri (1661-1730) while most of the specimens belong to the 19th century. Of particular scientific interest are the arachnological collections by Giovanni Canestrini (1835-1900). The museum's exhibition itinerary consists of four rooms.
