The Museum of the History of Physics is located in the historic city center and is part of the University Museum of the University of Padua. The collection of the Museum of History of Physics, University of Padova offers the public a journey through the science of the past and present, from the Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution to the present day. Characterized by very valuable pieces often unique or very rare, the collection not only tells the fascinating developments of scientific thought and technology, but also represents a valuable record of research and teaching activities at the University of Padua in physics from the eighteenth century till today. The tools themselves they tell the story of the scientists, their ideas, the unfolding of their experiments and the interweaving of the contacts that were established at various times between the University of Padua and the Italian and international scientific community. Today the museum has among its activities the protection of the most important tools of physics today in Padua, although there are many difficulties related to the size, quantity and type of instrumentation. A delicate mission but crucial, because the only way the Museum of the History of Physics can continue to keep alive for future generations, its identity as a university museum, whose value lies not only in the value of individual instruments but in the added value of by all of the collection. The exhibition is illustrated by precious original instruments, as some interactive multimedia simulations and experiments.
