The Frac Center (Fond régional d'art contemporain Center-Val de Loire) is a museum and exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art and architecture. Established in 1982, its collection consists of over 13,000 works, including over a thousand scale models and more than 17,000 architectural drawings. With numerous temporary exhibitions organized every year, the Frac Center exhibition program stands as an interdisciplinary program that links art, architecture and design. In 2017, the FRAc organized its first architecture Biennale.
The Fracs are institutions created in the early 1980s that aim to create public collections of contemporary art, to disseminate them and to create new forms of art diffusion. Today, every French region is equipped with a Frac.
