Musée International d'Art Naïf Anatole Jakovsky

The Musée International d'Art Naïf Anatole Jakovsky is a museum in Nice. It is located in the Château Sainte Hélène, the former residence of the perfumer François Coty, surrounded by a large park with rare species of plants. Inaugurated in 1982, the museum's collection brings together works of the current of the so-called "Naïf art", that is an artistic production without links with the cultural and academic reality of the society in which it is produced, but spontaneous and individual, which favors the inner vision of 'artist. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, drawings, posters that trace the evolution of this type of art through the works of the most famous artists: Bauchant, Bombois, Lefranc, Ligabue, Rousseau. The museum also organizes temporary exhibitions and events.
