After the success of the first two editions, on September 30th the Paleontological Museum will host the exhibition of the works of the third edition of the Italian Paleoart Prize, created by Italian and foreign artists.

Also this year, there were many nominations for the Prize, confirming the importance at a national level, and not only, of the event. Compared to the previous two years, in fact, the Prize has arrived for the first time in countries such as Canada, Germany, Hungary. The participation of artists from many countries in South America, such as Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico, is once again confirmed.

On September 30th, in addition to the inauguration of the exhibition in the Cloister of Cennano, which can be visited until October 19th, various paleoartistic activities will take place. In the morning, in the Sala Grande, there will be a workshop with the third-year students of the Art High School of Montevarchi held by Davide Bonadonna, an internationally renowned Italian paleoartist. In the afternoon, after a brief talk on paleoart by industry experts, the winners of the 2023 edition of the competition will be officially awarded.

Since 2021, the Museum has hosted the Prize conceived by the paleoartist Sante Mazzei and organizes it in collaboration with the Italian Paleontological Paleoartistic Association of Parma and with the patronage of the Italian Geological Society. The initiative was made possible thanks to the contribution of Fondazione CR Firenze, together with Massimo Manganelli Group, the Montevarchi Unicoop Firenze Soci Montevarchi Section, and with the support of Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo.
