FMAV Fondazione Modena Arti Visive presents Did you have a nice day ?, solo show by Marco Scozzaro (Turin, 1979), artist and photographer trained in Modena, now living in New York, which will be held from 4 June until 22 August 2021 at Upper Rooms of Palazzo Santa Margherita.
The exhibition, curated by Luca Panaro and produced by FMAV, develops as a transversal path and a dialogue between the shots of Scozzaro and those of other authors or with iconic images of the Modenese culture, some of which are kept in the FMAV archives: from the figurines from Fiorucci to an early work by Olivo Barbieri, from the photographs by Luigi Ghirri to a carpet by Cesare Leonardi, in a creative process that bridges several generations of artists. There is no shortage of documents and memorabilia, in a great homage by Scozzaro to those who influenced the years of his growth: from the poster of the Superarchitecture exhibition at the Galleria Civica in Modena to a vase by Ettore Sottsass. Marco Scozzaro. Did you have a nice day? it is carried out as part of the Modena Project promoted by FMAV Fondazione Modena Arti Visive on an annual basis, created with the aim of enhancing the culture of the territory. For this first edition it was chosen to reward the most deserving project proposed by a curator active in Modena, creating a personal exhibition of an artist linked to the city, enhancing its great cultural, physical and intangible heritage.
