The Boschi-Di Stefano House-Museum offers an extraordinary collection of Italian art of the twentieth century, donated to the Municipality of Milan in 1974. The spouses Antonio Boschi and Marieda Di Stefano, over the course of their lives, have enriched their apartment in via Giorgio Jan with countless masterpieces of painting, sculpture and drawings that belong to a time span that goes from the first decade of the twentieth century to the sixties. The House-Museum, located in a building from the Thirties by Piero Portaluppi, was inaugurated in 2003 after the restoration of the rooms by the Municipality of Milan and the preparation by the Boschi Di-Stefano Foundation. The rooms of the apartment have become the ideal exhibition space and host a selection of the more than two hundred works in the collection. Since December 2010 a part of the collection has been exhibited at the Museo del Novecento, to underline the fundamental role of private collectors in the creation of civic collections.
