On the occasion of Artweek 2024, the Museo del Novecento presents "VOL. XXXI: Futurism Drama", a site-specific project by the Cypriot artist Haris Epaminonda. The exhibition, promoted by the Henraux Foundation and curated by Edoardo Bonaspetti, initiates a dialogue in the Futurism Gallery between the expressions of the avant-garde, the sculpture of Medardo Rosso and the artist's research. Epaminonda, winner of the first edition of the Henraux Sculpture Commission Foundation, creates complex installations that intersect poetic plans and visions, in which meticulous formal refinement coexists with the dimensions of the unfinished. In a time that appears increasingly divided and uncertain to us, the artist recalls with his compositions not only the importance of the connection between different thoughts and cultural traditions but also the value and quality that new possible worlds can take on.

The exhibition is among the events of Milan Art Week (8 - 14 April 2024), the widespread event coordinated by the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with miart, the modern and contemporary art fair of Milan, which brings together the main public institutions and private, with a program full of activities and projects, enriching the cultural panorama of the city with collateral events that reconfirm Milan as a privileged place for the exploration and investigation of contemporary languages.
