From 5 May to 7 January 2024
Conceived and designed by the Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation , promoted and organized by the Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation and M9 - Museo del '900.
This exhibition opens a new path for M9 which, for the first time since its inauguration, chooses contemporary art as a tool to explore and interpret history. The initiative launches a cycle of biennial exhibitions, dedicated to protagonists in the history of art with high civil commitment who, at the same time, have revolutionized the arts by changing rules and canons with original and innovative contributions, such as Emilio Vedova, whose work is interpreter and witness of constant relevance.
Among others, some fundamental works by the Venetian painter will be exhibited, characterized precisely by the strong connection with the dramatic events of his time, such as Partisan Diary, Diary of Korea, Prague 1968, Who burns a book burns a man, in addition to the great cycle ... in continuum, interpenetrations/translations '87/'88 and the seven plurals of the Absurdes Berliner Tagebuch '64.
