The show

On 7 June at 6.30 pm the exhibition " The Geoportal of Food Culture: food and the Lucanian territory " opens at the National Archaeological Museum "Massimo Pallottino" in Melfi .

The spirit of the Geoportal in the Basilicata project aims to enhance the Lucanian intangible heritage through a documented story of the history of the rich world of wine and gastronomy of this Region, while at the same time offering valid support to the development of the territories in a tourist-cultural key.

The exhibition accompanies the viewer with exhibition panels and multimedia tools, to the discovery of three thematic macro areas dedicated to food, which investigate the relationship between historical and contemporary, between flavors and migrations, between sociability and play, between traditions and festivals. The final stage offers an interactive experience that allows the user to experience or re-experience the eno-gastronomic contexts linked to the excellence protagonists of the exhibition.

With this exhibition the public is invited to share the journey within the food culture of the Basilicata region.
