From 18 June to 30 October 2022
On June 18, 2022 at 5.30 pm the exhibition Is forever by Mara Fabbro and Alberto Pasqual will be inaugurated, curated by Alessandra Santin, in the Massimo Pallottino National Archaeological Museum, inside the Federiciano Castle of Melfi (PZ). The Regional Directorate of Museums of Basilicata, directed by the architect. Annamaria Mauro enthusiastically welcomed this exhibition, considering the combination of the archaeological museum and contemporary art extremely positive and engaging for the heritage communities and for the Friends of the Museum.
This is the fourth edition of È per semper , an exhibition promoted by Theke and the Giovanni Santin Foundation and accompanied by a catalog published by Punto Marte publisher .
The exhibition will be open until 30 October 2022, in the stables and in some spaces of the “Massimo Pallottino” National Archaeological Museum. The artists have designed a series of site-specific works inspired by the two precious sarcophagi of Atella and Rapolla, in the awareness that the emblematic title of the exhibition is forever , in this context, also opens up to the categories of historical time , documented by the archaeological finds present in the museum. . Some masterpieces, more than others, are representative of the "duration" to which the researches of Mara Fabbro and Alberto Pasqual refer. The use of original materials and techniques: graphics on precious papers; the fusion of polymethacrylate and iron, the gigantic blades of grass of Pasqual's Eterotopia will lead you beyond the threshold of Time and Space. The use of LED lights and the extraordinary compositions of mosaic resins, suspended in the transparencies of polyethylenes , will make the contemporary vision of ancient works, in dialogue with the current research of Mara Fabbro, an engaging experience, emotionally, conceptually and aesthetically stimulating.
