TO DISPLAY - better than an exhibition there is only the display | UNDER CONTROL - resist, resist, resist, resist, yield | RIESUMAZIONI ”, is the title of the exhibition project that from Saturday 23 July starting at 19:00 it will be possible to visit the Foundation's spaces.

SoutHeritage Foundation as an institution animated by the desire to adapt to new meanings and methods of contemporary art promotes, with the support of a curatory composed of Vincenzo Santarcangelo, Fabio Vito Lacertosa and Alfonso Guida , the exhibition project: " 3 Titles: TO DISPLAY - better of an exhibition there is only the exhibition | UNDER CONTROL - resist, resist, resist, resist, yield | REVIVALS ".

The project, conceived with works designed to interact with each other and in dialogue with the peculiarities of the current exhibition space of the foundation (a noble chapel that is part of a building complex of the XVI-XVIII century - Palazzo Viceconte, located in the ancient economic center , social and religious of the city of Matera and reopened as an exhibition pavilion of the foundation after 60 years of closure), is dedicated to questioning the role of the public of contemporary art and its fruition path. The goal is to create a moment of dialogue, comparison and research, on access to contemporary art and its values, on the viewer of today's visual art and on the exhibition format as the organization of a context of experience for the public.

To compose the exhibition project and to reveal and offer a reinterpretation of the environments and their atmospheres, the works of the artists were chosen: Ceal Floyer, Ignoto Frescante Meridionale (17th century?), Gino De Dominicis, Marie Lund & Nina Beier, François Morellet, General Idea (Felix Partz, Jorge Zontal, AA Bronson). With these elements, the exhibition project through its 3 titles potentially presents three different interpretations of the same exhibition, three interpretative hypotheses signed by 3 different authors, thanks to which to read, reread and narrate an exhibition, since each title contributes to introducing a different logic in the interpretation of the exhibition and the exhibition space. The spectators, according to the chosen title, are invited and accompanied by the foundation's mediators on his suggestions to re-write their own “vision”, conceptually mixing the materials on display to create new semantic links and new narratives.
