Located in La Joliette, at the gates of Euroméditerranée in Marseille, the Frac Sud – Cité de l’art contemporain has become an emblematic place of what we today call a “new generation” Frac since the inauguration of the building in 2013. which welcomes it, designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. With a collection of more than 1,300 works and representing more than 600 artists, the Frac today occupies a regional, national and international territory, and is developing new methods of dissemination for its collection through a network of partners. A true laboratory of artistic experimentation , its programming is part of a questioning of our society while allowing access to contemporary art within the six departments of the region.
