The Museo della Pesca del Lago Trasimeno is located in San Feliciano, next to the northern port of the fishermen, in the headquarters that once housed the Consorzio Pesca ed Acquicoltura del Trasimeno. Here is collected the best of over two decades of research carried out by many scholars (Project A.L.L.I. - University of Perugia), students, and researchers who, with the decisive contribution of fishermen-hunters, have investigated the culture of water, language, history, and life of the communities settled along the shores of the great lake.
The exhibition is characterized by its multidisciplinary nature in an attempt to read the lake reality of Trasimeno using complementary methods and contents. Thanks to the collaboration of various scholars, in fact, it was possible to observe the lake from multiple perspectives: geological, archaeological, historical, geographical, anthropological, linguistic, and environmental.
