The Abbey House Museum is a local history museum in the city of Leeds. Here we describe what life was like in Victorian Leeds. The visitor can be transported straight back to the 19th century and stroll the Victorian streets with their realistically reconstructed shops, pubs and houses. The most famous street is Stephen Harding Gate, the 19th century equivalent of a modern main street. The Abbey House Museum organizes a new exhibition annually, inspired by a theme from the museum's collection, along with various events. You can also visit the "Hark to Rover Inn", a traditional Victorianan tavern and explore the poorer residential district of Abbey Fold.

The museum's upstairs children's galleries offer a wide range of 19th-century toys, games and dolls on display. The museum also houses a collection of original slot machines put back into operation.
