From 17 October to 25 October 2026
After the first edition of the award, which took place on September 20th on the banks of the Adda River, in Pescarenico, a collective exhibition brings together the works created en plein air and other pieces representative of the research of the eighteen participating artists.
Curated by Anna Caterina Bellati, the exhibition presents the works created by the artists during the event, accompanied by a second piece chosen to showcase the path and individual research of each participant. A dual perspective that relates the shared experience of the award with the variety of artistic languages and sensibilities.
The protagonist is the landscape of Lecco, with the waters of the Adda River, the architecture of Pescarenico, and the mountains that define the visual identity of the territory. Alongside the representation of nature, personal interpretations of the relationship between man and the environment emerge, reflections on the memory of places, and references to the figure of Lucia, a symbol of the Manzonian tradition and a starting point for new contemporary readings.
The exhibition brings together eighteen artists from different Italian and international backgrounds, united by their engagement with the landscape and the freedom to interpret it through different techniques and languages.
They will exhibit their works: Massimo Bollani, Alberto Bortoluzzi, Francesca Brivio, Alessandra Carloni, Bruno Cogliati, Irene Coppo, Derbio, Domenico Di Genni, Riccardo Galimberti, Fernando Andrea Massironi, Peggy Milleville, Filippo Negroni, Luana Segato, Celina Spelta, Artemio Tagliapietra, Paola Trussoni, Elisabetta Zanutto, Susi Zucchi.
From figurative painting to material research, from experiments on supports to contaminations between painting and sculpture, the works offer a plurality of visions that go beyond the simple reproduction of natural data.
The exhibition represents the first exhibition development of the Award, with the ambition of establishing over time an event dedicated to painting, the territory, and the dialogue between artists and the community.
The initiative is part of the Lu.C.I.A. – Places Culture Innovation Learning project, coordinated by the Municipality of Lecco, carried out within the Emblematic Major Grants of Fondazione Cariplo, with the contribution of Regione Lombardia and is hosted by the Urban Museum System of Lecco (Si.M.U.L. of the Municipality of Lecco) in collaboration with LTM and Bellati Editore.
